Interfaith vigil

Join Faith for the Climate’s interfaith vigil before the Make Them Pay mobilisation on 20th September, jointly facilitated with Quakers in Britain.

We welcome all faiths and beliefs for prayers, reflections, and silent contemplation from 11.30am at Cavendish Square Gardens, before assembling for the demonstration at 12pm.

We will be holding the demands of the mobilisation in our head, heart, speech and action:

• New taxes for the extremely wealthy
• A just transition for all
• Make polluters pay for their damage

The format of the vigil is as follows:

11.30am – Words of welcome

11.40am – Individual reflections from different faith leaders and representatives

11.50am – Silence facilitated by Quakers in Britain

We will have speakers from different faith traditions and would love the vigil to be as multi-faith as possible, so please invite your networks to attend. The demonstration afterwards will be police-liaised, legal and family-friendly. All are welcome.Register to join on this page.
